How did you meet?
We met at a nightclub in 2006. We danced together and then exchanged numbers afterward.
What made you decide to have a Destination Wedding?
We were having trouble with our wedding planner and we just got fed up and decided to have a destiny wedding. And a destination wedding was better on the pockets than having a wedding here at home. Ha!
Once the planning started, was there anything that surprised you?
No, not really. We were very new to the whole wedding process so I thought everything was going as expected.
Was there a thing or two you splurged on that you are now happy you did?
We splurged on our wedding photos in Jamaica. Since we are having a reception here for the people who couldn’t make the trip, we figured we would just have our pictures taken at the reception. But our wedding planner in Jamaica urged us to have our photos taken in Jamaica to capture the memories. I’m glad we did. 🙂
Were there any funny/quirky moments that you will never forget?
Not so much funny or quirky, but memorable. The staff at the resort was absolutely amazing. They were very helpful and accommodating. We came home with new friends
Any advice for a future destination wedding couple?
If you don’t have your passports, make sure yourself enough time to get your application processed in time for your trip. Also, make sure you plan your destination wedding early enough. You don’t want to be scrambling at the last minute to get things in order.
