How did you meet?
Riley and I have known each other since grade school. We grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone. We didn’t start dating officially until our senior year of high school.
What made you decide to have a Destination Wedding?
Since we started dating Riley traveled with my family to make tropical locations and we have always loved travel, especially to a tropical location. As soon as we were engaged we knew destination was our dream.
Once the planning started, was there anything that surprised you?
I think just how many options there were and a variety of price ranges. Even the wedding itself seemed to be cheaper than if we did a big wedding in the States.
Was there a thing or two you splurged on that you are now happy you did?
We were happy we stayed longer than just a week. Being able to be there before people and after people left was nice.
Where there any funny/quirky moments that you will never forget?
I will never forget the after-party. Everyone was dancing and enjoying their time. We had everyone out on the dance floor and was so memorable.
Any advice for a future destination wedding couple?
Do what is best for you and your partner. Don’t think of everyone because it gets to be a lot. Be in the moment and ask lots of questions. Everyone we dealt with was absolutely amazing from Lori, to the wedding staff, to anyone we meet along the way. They are all there for your best interest and want to help. One thing I forgot about was TIPS! You don’t really think of this because you aren’t directly working with vendors, but definitely tip wedding planner, wedding coordinator, wedding concierge, wait staff, DJ, and anyone else you come in contact with personally. We forgot but thankfully we had enough cash on us to do this.

We are so thankful for all the help and support Lori gave us during the entire process of our wedding planning. She recommended an amazing resort (The Fives) which also had an amazing wedding team. So beyond grateful for everything she did for us and our guests!
